 Save your Money! Cheap-Cheap September 3, 2010

~We purchased this item because it was less expensive than the original but what a mistake! It does not properly fit the Samsung French door refrigerator, leaks water all over the place. Contacted vendor we puchased from and he said sometimes it is the "O" rings he had us check those, that was not the problem. He had us reinstall the unit still does not work and is leaking. We got purchase price refunded and won't being buying this brand again~

I was worried when I purchased this for my samsung side by side, but when I put it in ( using the greese wich came with it ) it worked just fine, no leaks or bad taste, like some coments said. I purchased the three pack for the savings and would recomend this Item anytime! It's been in for about 2 or 3 weeks still no problems!

This filter does not fit my Samsung Refrigerator. It shows here it is the replace ment but it does not fit. I got one of the Supco AQUA FRESH WF289 REPLACEMENT WATER FILTER. It fits and works well!

Samsung is rated at 500 gallons or 6 months; this one is rated at 300 gallons or 6 months. Go figure.
Price is about 40% less than Samsung (200 gallons less = 40% less so you get what you pay for).
I typically use this product for up to a year and taste is still pure, not even chlorine taste.
Previous reviewer who said it tastes like pee must have his water hooked up to his toilet.

I can't tell the difference between this filter and the Samsung label one that came with the fridge. My water taste pretty good to begin with so I'm not sure how well either one works. The instruction say to run the water for 5 minutes to flush the filter. I wasn't going to waste that much water so I only ran it for about a minute. It tasted a little funny before I flushed it but so did the Samsung one. I'll purchase this filter again.
