I agree with the misleading information, funny in a sad way, I ended up ordering without realizing I wasn't getting the Whirlpool name brand, but they ended up sending a totally different filter by mistake, so I returned them and ordered from another company thru Amazon, they were slow to respond, almost like they only work weekends, but I ended up getting all my money back including the return postage.

This item is made by Water Sentinel. But, if you search "Whirlpool 4396508", the result you get is shown as "3 Pack Whirlpool 4396508 Replacement Filter by Water Sentinel by Whirlpool". The extension of "BY WHIRLPOOL" drops only when you click that link and get to the page of product. And there, it shows a picture of Whirlpool filter, NOT a WATER SENTINEL filter.
